    We have large capped oil supplies in the continental US. The majority that are state side are government controlled after being discovered. Thus we have an immense reserve in case we lose our imports. So frankly it will be longer than people want to say but I still support green and alternative methods of energy.

    actually less then 20 years, and if we keep going at this rate, we'll be out of water by 2050. So stock up.
