Not all that long. Banks only paying 1%, CDs only a bit better, stocks are for long term. You would need a 10% gain to be worth while.
I haven't made my first million yet so maybe it could last the rest of my lifetime depending on inflation.
Well I have some extra money aside just in case so I'd either save it up or invest it wisely!
About two years if I do not change my current spending patterns. That is assuming I no longer work.
It depends on how much of it I intend to spend at any given time.
I could purchase a nice home for a cool million.
At the same time, without spending it at all, I could make it last a lifetime!
A long time.
And a lot of it would be earning interest.
I like to think that I would spend the majority of it on things that will "last".
