Are you talking about a "simple" ear infection? It took me about 2.5 weeks AFTER I finished take medication (a different kind though) for my hearing to return to normal. You may be different though.

It's best to ask your doctor.

You could still have fluid on your eardrum (take any decongestants?), or if you felt extreme pain, your ear drum may have ruptured. If that's the case, it will take several weeks; you need to go back to your doc or see an E-N-T.
