How long does it take for marijuana and Cigarette to get out of your system before one can go for blood test?

all the answers above are pretty good and depend on the method of testing.

llgmaryland, paternity? uhm, paternity testing doesn't involve drug testing, unless the drug testing is addition to the paternity testing. Same as a "urine test" doesn't screen for drugs- unless its a urine drug test. really sad and odd that they are testing for cigs though- the coming nature of our society ... where legal use in your off hours is forbidden I assume by your job

marijuana is about 1 week ! after 1 week if they find some trace it will be so negligible numbers that they wont even bother to write it down.

as for cigarette, it takes months ! (around 3 months) at least this is the time it takes to clear from your lungs.

google it, there is some specialised sites on this.
some advise can be found too!

i studied medic lab. work for a while in a lab then ....
found better !

The other posts are correct about the marijuana - 2 to 4 weeks, and cigarettes - 5 to 7 days, depending upon level of usage of either. You can use some of the cleansing agents like they sell at GNC, which may speed up the process.

A hair follicle patch test can detect marijuana up to about 75 days if you are a heavy user.

According to my son's Probation Officer Pot takes about a month to clear your system. Have no clue about cigarettes.

It depends on how often you smoke marijuana. If you smoke it regularly, it will take over two weeks --- up to four weeks at the most.

If you smoke it once a week, four to seven days. I know this because my best friends works for a drug testing lab.

And as usual, it depends. How much have you smoked and for how long? The range, without taking "cleansing agents" is from 2 weeks to a month. However, for THC the Hair folicle test supposedly can detect use beyond one month.

THC accumulates and can actually take months. If you are a regular partaker.
