1971 i got a ticket for 5 miles over limit.
1997 I was pulled over (75 in a 65) and the cop said, ''How long have you been driving? What year did you get your license?" And I said, '''71". "And you haven't had a ticket since then, because I have Nothing on your record.'' I looked at him and smiled and said, ''Well, there wasn't anyone fast enough to catch me until you did.'' He laughed so hard he had tears in his eyes........he let me.

geez - i think it must have been back in the dark ages, in the 70's. i was driving a red convertible Karmann Ghia speeding down a country road with 2 Borzois. the trooper pulled me over and amazingly let me go (I think he liked the russian wolfhounds, lol). no ticket. to this day i have never had a speeding ticket.

7 years ago. I was running late for a college exam, because I woke up late and had to drop my kids of at the baby sitters. I told the cop that and he tore up the ticket. I guess he didn't have the heart to give me a ticket knowing I was a college student and a single mother of three.
