It depends on what you are doing.
If you're in the technology field, and aren't getting exposed to the newer stuff, move on or your skills will become dated.
If you are in a trade, then you are gaining experience where you are.

stay with your job. it will look good on your resume, for your character and in your life. good for your resume with longevity and you won't look like a quitter. character because you stuck with it and aren't getting fired. life because our country is still in a recession and your job is a beautiful rarity since a lot have lost their jobs. so, considering the recession isn't something to be ignored, there doesn't seem to be a 'too long to be with this job' status. i'd rather have too long than lost a job and couldn't find another job.

Hmmm thats a very relevant question. I've been in mine 11 years, the longest I have ever done is 12 years.
I feel its time for a change, but the economy isnt so great at the moment and jobs that do come up are being snapped up very quickly. So may be better to stay on, at the mo. I keep on looking, but nothing much doing just now.

I'll get back to you when I think it's too long. I'm starting my 26th year in the same job this August.
