A couple of years ago my family and I had to leave South Carolina because of a hurricane. We cut our vacation short and had made it up into Warren, Va, late on a Friday afternoon. I don't remember which hurricane it was, but it took twice as long as normal to get from Myrtle Beach to Warren, and then traffic stopped. Luckily, we're seasoned travellers, and we have a Class B motorhome, so we were relatively comfortable. It literally took 2 hours to go five miles at one point, and the entire "by-pass" took about 3 hours!

since i dont drive yet, i have always been droven to places, once i remember i was in a traffic jam years ago dont remember where, but i slept for 2 hours and waited 1 hour awake in the traffic jam, and it normally would have token us 1 hour if the road wasnt so busy.
