i like it somewhat cool anyway , i don't like the heat so much , i had to disconnect my heater because it wouldn't turn off by the termostat

Judging by global warming a lot. For the record I prefer turning it down cuz in the end it's cheaper.
I, for one won't. Can't afford to. la<x>yered clothing and the warmth of a warm body close by (if you have one) will usually do the trick.

I do..I like to be comfortable in my own home so sometimes I turn it up to 78 and lounge in a tshirt and shorts. I know it's bad :(
I don't have a heater so I guess you know my answer. My guilty pleasure is A/C in the summer though, since it can get so high and humid in my region. I lived without it for years but now it almost seems like a necessity.
72 degrees is as high as I will go.
