How many best friends have you had in your life?

4 but I'm only in close contact with 1 of them now.

Two in high school, the three of us were inseparable though we are not in touch now :(
Three from when I was in the military, all of whom I am still in touch with...
A couple from my post military days who I am still in touch with...
And one from my college days who I will hopefully be seeing in about 10 days...!

They each were considered a best friend in different ways... One from the military was the most understanding and non-judgemental friend I have ever had; the couple are the ones I could count on to always put a roof over my head if I needed it for any reason; another from the military is the one that I can call on in the middle of the night...
I have never had all the qualities of a best friend all rolled up into one...

But, I have been blessed with an abundance of true friends...

Many... No i moved awway from a lot of them... Its a shame, but we probably woulda stopped being friends when we were older anyway... thats how these things work out dont they?

just one, Ive had a lot of so called friends, and quite a few casual friends but only one true friend

2, no they are both dead. Billy was the worst for me, I was pinned in the back seat and watched the light leave his eyes. Donnie, I heard the sirens, I saw the lights, but resisted the urge to go see. Turned out it was him, he had been hit by a truck while pushing his bike down the road.

i have 5...and it is great to have bestfriends when good or bad times they were there to comfort you...even if its long distance...but i lost them...

Maybe 6 over the course of my life time. 1 I talk to all the time-she lives local. 1 I keep in touch with via e-mail, and 1 I send letters snail mail periodically. They both live far far away.

I'm in contact with most of them.

My childhood best friend from 5 - 30 I'm not sure what happened but she doesn't call me anymore. When I call her, she doesn't answer. I have another best friend, we've been close since 1988. I love her dearly.
