Well what did they do? Cheating= no chance, out the door. Lying= depends on the severity of the lie and if they make a habit out of it.

Just keep him around for whatever he is good for, but don't commit yourself to him beyond that. And when there comes a time that he is not good for anything, then dump him.
In other words, there doesn't have to be an abrupt breakup with formality. Just drift apart, and see how it goes.Like (1)
