i never really look at the exp. date. i see if the bread has mold or is smelly.

After 3 days if we havent eaten it all I put it in the freezer for toast.

I dont like to eat bread after 5 days old on a whole... so you cant get me to eat expired bread.

I usually don't look at the expiray date, but if it's green/ grey I throw it away.

It would depend on what sort of condition it was in. If moldy, forget it. If dry (possibly) toast it. The date would be only a general guide.

I wouldn't eat it if it's moldy. We own a bagel shop, and we don't use any preservatives in our bagels, so they tend to 'turn' faster than store bought, but we slice and freeze them, and they last a long time like that.

It has a best before date, but that all depends on the conditions you keep it in. It's not inedible until it's growing something.

usually no more than four or five. after that i find it starts to get hard and gross. often we freeze it before it expires so it lasts longer.

I'm usually like OCD about expiration dates, but with bread, I'd probably just check to make sure there's no mold on it.

I don't take noticed of the dates, only the green moulds lol
