Chocolate eggs? I used to be given about 5 small ones, 2 small caramel filled ones, 1 medium sized hollow egg, and sometimes a hollow chocolate bunny as well. My younger brother got the same amount, and we'd only eat a few and save the rest for ages. If you're worried about how much they're going to eat at once, you could always give them a few for the day, and show them the others that are theirs but they're only allowed to eat with your permission... or something.

NONE!

My fellow rabbits and I work very hard to paint these so-called "Easter Eggs" for OUR collections. And we don't appreciate you humans encouraging your children to steal them from us.

Do the American thing and buy them toys.

I don't know but I used to love to fill my basket with Easter eggs when I hunted them as a child -- so I say, why be sensible?! Then the folks would make deviled eggs which were really funny because the dye would have leaked through the shell and have stained the whites.

A word from the wise, though -- if you are using the boiled variety, be sure to count them before you hide them or you may discover the easter bunny left a stinky easter surprise weeks later...not fun. Happy Easter!!

it depends on the number of kids i would say at least 14 or 15 eggs per kid.

for what? To eat? To hide? To color?

I always hid 8-12 for each kid to find, they'd each get about 6 to paint, they'd only eat 1 or MAYBE 2 at a time.

Depends on their age too, what's their concentration level and ability regarding coloring and finding them?

Heaps of little ones to hide around the garden.

The best part of Easter is the thrill of the chase.

Everyone keeps thinking of boiled eggs....Here where I live...We hide a fw boiled eggs.....But the rest are plastic....with candy...Or toys...and some even had money in them....Those were the best to find.....

So hide as manas you can.....Let them have a blast....

In fact my Thomas hid eggs for days......When he was an only child....We hid the eggs....then after he found then all...He would hide them....and go and find them....and then hide them....and then go and find them.....( you get the picture)...He did this for a week......He loved easter...and still does.....At times we still find eggs that he likes to hide

My kids loved the hunt, inside and out. The key is not how many, but that you give them the EXACT number that are hidden. 25 well-hidden eggs are a fun challenge. Sometimes they are still looking into the next week!

Hard boiled colored eggs? As many as they want. Why not?

i dunno... we would just boil a whole dozen eggs and dye them, put some in the basket and then the rest in the fridge to eat throughout the week.

as far as hiding eggs-- i never participated in something like that as a kid but with my nieces we usually put out a bunch of the plastic eggs and put either candy, coins, or stickers in them. maybe 50 total-- so about 16 per kid?

I recommend you hide 1 ounce gold coins instead... the kids will be able to pay for their own college expenses if they invest wisely

If y'all like eatin' them then do a dozen each and if not just do a few. We don't eat them so they are given away after they are painted and then just plastic ones are used for hiding.
