    Eyelets or pairs ?

    The reason I ask is that my local shoe repair place talks about "pairs".

    I went in for some new laces and he said how many eyelets - I said 16 and he said god your feet must be huge

    It took a moment for him to explain he though I meant 16 pairs not 8 pairs on some work boots!
