How many stairs must there be in a set before it's considered a flight?

Seriously folks, I'm curious. I want to know just how many FLIGHTS of stairs I climb each day for the loveable little monsters on leashes. :-p

I'd say at least three. a single step is just a step, 2 well, i don't know why i don't consider it a flight, but 3 works.

And why is it called a 'flight' anyway?
