    Depends on how difficult it is for you to find new friends, and whether you'd like to risk having no friends if you can't. I'd say dump them.

    I'm not sure. I think it depends. If the person just says cruel things to you over and over again then I wouldn't view them as someone I'd want to stay friends with. If the person knew they messed up, then apologized for what they did, I would feel a little better. If the person sometimes speaks before thinking, it would depend on the context. If the person actually intended harm or had a stupid slip up.

    Exactly remote. You just described my issue preventing me from showing her the door. I hesitate to say what she said because I cannot type through the ocean of tears that would accompany the explanation. I believe you get the jest of what I am saying.
