How much $ does your family spend per week on food/household products? Please be honest! See details

I am trying to figure out what is a reasonable budget for groceries and other personal/household items. Drives me crazy when I go on the coupon sites and people say they are spending $50 a week for a family of 4. I've couponed plenty and I get good deals but we don't eat a lot of processed foods and buy as much organic as the budget allows. I've tried asking friends but no one will give an actual number. I don't care what you buy I just want to be able to have an idea if I'm anywhere CLOSE to some kind of average. PLEASE include the # of people in your family. Thanks so much!

Three Boys that eat like starving horses about $300.00 - $350.00 a week. I live in the SouthEast too. It seems like all the coupons are for stuff we don't like or buy.

3 boys! Wow ;-) but you have to feed 'em. I do a LOT of BOGO deals at Publix and BiLo

We spend $150-$200 every 2 weeks on groceries. So about $400 a month. I budget very closely cause we live pay to pay and have no more than that to spend. But that includes non food items too, like diapers, shampoo, etc. We're a family of 4 right now. 2 adults, two toddlers.

I think you are doing very well ;-) my cheapest months have been $400 but hats because I was able to stock up on certain things the previous month. Thank you.

In California, with a organic produce and milk, 4 kids and 2 adults, it's a minimum of $250/week. With all the other snacks and dumb stuff that I'm conned into buying, it's probably like $300-$350.

Thanks very much. I'm in the Southeast and I think it might be a bit less expensive here.we do have meatless nights so I can get a bit more organic meat.

There's great veggie meat too. You might have to pay a bit more, but for once a week, it's yummy!

Thanks so much, I'm right around 150 a week but a big chunk is the organic. And I try to keep a stocked pantry. 2 adults, 2 older kids.
