Wow! I like our days better. With defensive driving, written test, driving test, liscence, etc. it cost over $800 for my son. Then he had to think about a car. My first car was $200.
Nothing--but that was long ago and far away in a time when they gave actual driving lessons in high school and local car dealers donated free cars to the program in hopes that students would buy what they learned to drive with.
Lordy, that is ancient history and i don't remember. Our high school chorus teacher also ran the driving program. I remember how odd it seemed being behind the wheel in traffic, how close cars felt to you until you got used to the space on the road. I love driving.
