Old is a state of mind. Yes the body fails..and sometimes the mind. But the heart... the part that makes us who we are is what defines "old".

I know twenty somethings that creak and groan more than my grandmother did at 98. And my gram's could and did laugh and have wit and share wisdom and joys with us til the end. I never thought of her as old.

So... to paraphrase "old is as old does"

(This does not include the differently able or persons who lost abilities due to trauma, accident or illness). Were talking high-end developmental changes over the years. Mehonestly	Posted Feb 5th, 2009 at 5:58PM People seem to think once you hit 40 your old, but I really think everyone has their own idea of how old, old really is. My husbands granddad will be 100 in march but I know a lot of younger people that seem older than him. Your as old as you feel, so there really is no answer to your question. Rated: +1Vote for this!
