How to become a nude art model?

I have no experience...just looking to make same extra cash on the side. I am from a metropolitan area where I can find figure drawing classes. I am more concerned with how to apply for a job I have zero experience doing? Any suggestions? Thanks!

I was asked while in a figure illustration class. I got bored rather quickly and like to be the one doing the drawing instead.
You can contact the art department at a college where they offer figure illustration and they can direct you.

All we ever cared about was their ability to hold a pose. The poses varied from quick 30 second "gestural" poses to full three hour poses with breaks of course. The lights can get pretty warm by the way.XD

You might be just a tad past your prime for this job, artists (Myself being one) prefer to use younger bodies on account that they tend to have smoother lines. Please don't take offense, I'm just being honest.

uuuum im hot. j/k... but seriously...but i thought colleges and art schools like diversity...i was actually told by an art student I may not have enough "folds" and should consider looking into anatomy drawing since hips, collarbone, etc are visible. no?

There was never a preference when it came to the classes at college. It never mattered what age or size in a figure illustration class. They are just there to draw. As for individual artists who hire someone for a particular look. That is a whole other ballgame.

Contact the local art schools, colleges that have art programs, or art guilds and societies and ask.

call the colleges and art schools.....it takes no experience but you'll need to stay in same position for extended periods of time....pay is a little better than min. wage in US

honestly, you don't need any experience or even a "good" body....get on the phone and call the art department of your local schools
