How to end an already started Assault of a group of people on an other group of people?

Are you kidding? This particular war has been going on for thousands of years in the Middle East. It isn't going to end on EP.

Good old religion, eh? Guarenteed to start conflict. That's why it should all be banned. The prolem with religions is that every single one thinks that only they are right, so you'll NEVER resolve it.

There will ALWAYS be wars where religion is concerned.

Don't be silly. That is what the UN is for. To stop war crimes like what happend to the dews from ever happinin again. The good super powers of the world look after all of the weak ones. So everyone is safe and happy. It is like in the school yard as someone said , if you are mean to others it is only a matter of time before they hate your gibletts. They go on and on about how hard it is to fix. What a load of codswhollop. You just need a fair judge. How hard is that. Just my take. Oh and everyone should feel free to pray anywhere they wish to.

I really want to answer this question better, as if I even could, given that I am nobody and with little knowledge, and given all of the great suffering on both sides over there, I feel it would be egoistic and ignorant of me to even try to give any input... but for now I just feel inspired to say the following:

(1) Simply BE the change you want to see in the world. I don't know if this conflicts with your religion, but if not, why not go with it?

(2) In a conflict, often somebody has to be the bigger person, and often this means "letting it go". Whoever lets go, the world will see this.

(3) You can't make someone else like you or be nice to you - change in them has to come from within. You just have to learn to live in peace amongst the non-peace that is.

(4) No one person or group can solve these huge issues we face on earth, but each person can do small things with great love, and hopefully the cumulative effect will one day be peace and love.

(5) If you are looking for peace of mind, how to dance in the rain, look within more than without.

The more people in the world that can live at peace with their own selves amidst all the muckety muck of life, the better off we will all be, in my humble opinion.

I could answer this question better if I knew more about each of the religions involved, but I don't right now, so above is just my 2 cents. I think it's very brave of you to ask, and I'm sorry for even thinking that amidst all of the unthinkable suffering over there that I could even make a dent by attempting to answer your question. Today, in rememberance of your suffering, I will pray, to what I'm not quite sure, but I will pray, "Lord, let me be an instrument of your peace". Small things, great love.

religion is the problem. get rid of the religion the problem goes away. A good place to start would be turning that dome of the rock thing over to an international body of archaeologists so they could start to excavate and study the history there A lot of these other shrines could be either excavated or converted for use as privet businesses or public sector buildings etc.

unfortunately thats deep routed in to their history. it may not be shared by all of the people but i wont go away overnight or it would have along time ago. honestly the only way i see it possibly happening is to start one person at a time and show them the past is the past and that you can't grow as much as you could if you linger in the past. this will start a ripple affect that will spread an eventually it will not be an issue to the people of both countries, which is where the power of all countries comes from.
