some of my scars a still on the tender side and even the ones that haven't been touched for a year are still healing and my pale skin will show red from the direct contact with someones arm and might irritate it. what type of band aid or what could i put on my arm to cover them while i train? my scars are from my elbow to the top of my hand.

Wrap your forearms from elbow to wrist with ace bandages and just say you got some weak forearms. Actually, no one will care. You see them and think they are important, but I'm amazed at the people that I know and meet and befriend and I have sixty stitch scars on both my wrists and no one ever notices. Best thing is to forget about them and just do it. It's amazing what people don't notice. I have massages and work out and my scars are vertical--like Plutarch. If, you know your Roman history. Can only really die if you cut from wrist up to halfway to elbow. I do not recommend it as the paramedics show up no matter how smart you are. Decide to live and consider them loving testimonials to your desire. Most people never feel anything. Your scars are a badge of courage and you should honor them as the way you got to your now. You used to hurt yourself and now you are learning to defend yourself from hurt. Be proud.

You could always wear a long sleeved top under your clothes, like a long sleeved t-shirt

dont bother to hide them...if you are embarassed about them just think up a good cover story or make it one thats so unbelieveable people will just laugh and move on. tell them you wrestled a crocodile and won!

Hm...try hand wraps. It shouldnt look too out of place since you're training hand to hand.
