How to improve english speaking and writing, grammer skills efficiently?

Best Answer
This is simple: practice without fear of mistakes. It will come. Try to practice a little each day, reading, writing, listening and speaking. Take baby steps. When you read, if you don't know a word, underline. First read once through to see how much you can figure out on your own by the context. The next step is to look up the words you didn't understand the first time. Make a list of these words including the phrases. Try to write your own phrase using the word. Write something small, then check for mistakes. Pick one grammar rule a day that you know you have trouble with. Read it, then try to use it. There are many online sites that offer free language practice. A penpal is also helpful. If you have microsoft word, practice typing on a blank page. It will hilight any mistakes. You can rightclick on it or hit F7 for grammar rules and correct spellings. Good Luck!

Start with a good book - Check with a library.

You must realize that U.K. English is a little different than American English. Choose one or the other as your primary area of focus.

Then do like you are doing. Get involved with English Internet sites.

Watch English movies/television that are subtitled in your native language.

If you want to just perfect grammar skills, find a good English Grammar college textbook. They are usually available to the public at places like Amazon.com.

If English is your second (or third or fourth, etc.) language, taking classes is the best way because you get to practice with other people. You need to use a language frequently if you are to learn it. If that's not an option, however, there is a computer program called Rosetta Stone" that has been getting rave reviews by people who have used it. Also, you can hire a personal tutor, if money is abundant.

This is literally a practice makes perfect situation. I do recommend finding a friend to help you though...If I had one my spelling would be much better. :-)
