Some of the practical reasons that a relationship lasts is do you have similar or the same goals? Do you have things you both like to do, having some common ground is important. Total opposites may attract but often grow in separte directions. Can you both compromise, it's never good if one person does all the giving and one does all the taking. Are you core beleifs the same, I found that matters more than i realized when we were first married.
Are you in love where you can handle both the good times and the bad, for there will undoubtably be both.
Just being in love isn't enough for the long haul. Make sure it's love and not just a temporary infatuation.

If you doubt it, asking people opinion - then it probably he is not the one u r looking for.. I had to take such a decision recently - so i do...
my frnd told me when you know he is the one for you, u dont even think or have a second opinion... you feel completely happy...
