you make all your plans in advance and without their knowledge you find alternative accommodation as far away from them as is possible you change your phone number you get people who care about you to help you get your belongings out and you leave. If it is seriously abusive i wouldn't hang about leave the material things behind if you have to your safety is at risk and you shouldn't be there. Of course this answer would depend on your situation if you live with him.

By leaving smoke.
You don“t stay in an abusive relationship. Nothing to gain from it and everything to lose, including your life. Get out, fast.

very good advice above.I've learned from experience that the pattern always escalates and will not improve until serious consequences arise.Spare yourself finding out the hard way just how far people can go.By all means confide in someone you can trust and create a safe space for yourself ASAP-the details can be worked out later.

Go in any safe mannor you can. Some women go with the clothes on their back if necessary. Some can plan how to live and be safe. never tell an abuser what you are going to do..just go and everything falls into place. Don't over think it. Fear stops people and that is the sad part.

Put one foot in front of the other through the door and don't look back.

First you need to develop as much care and concern for yourself in this situation, as you would have if a loved one were in the same situation. Wouldn't you want that person to escape the dangerous situation as soon as possible? Wouldn't you feel some outrage that anyone would treat your loved one with so little respect? Wouldn't you do everything in your power to protect them from harm? Wouldn't you be glad your loved one had found the courage to end the abuse?

Do these things for yourself and be as fiercely intense in your efforts to extract yourself from such undeserved cruelty
