Try make up
Are you interested in looking older than you age? Well, how you carry yourself is the most important. Then, there is what you can do with the image you present to people. Caring yourself: Try to be less reactive emotionally to whatever happens around you. When people get older, they learn to subdue their emotional reactions. It means thinking before you react to what is around you and in a split second, decide to make no reaction. Or at least a subdued reaction. People who are older have more experience with things that come their way. Instead of reacting emotionally, they say to themselves, "Yes, I like, hate, or I get angry or very sad when this happens, I have gone through it before, so why waist energy in getting all worked up about it.... it only feeds into others who do the same thing. That's the way an older person carries themselves. Creating an older image: Now if you are looking for ways to physically look older, that is all about image. Like: Don't wear what is in style for your age, wear what is in style for older girls. IF you are short, a 1/2" extra on the heal of your shoe can help you look taller. Hairstyles really can help with how old you look. The most drastic is to cut your hair short if you are short person. It's an automatic "look taller" affect. But, short hair is not "in" right now and there are other sneaky ways of looking taller without cutting your locks... like wearing hair up. A French braid... inner or outer, with a tuck under can drastically improve your age image... for it is up and gives the illusion of height and makes you look professional which shows maturity. Working on makeup that only accentuates what you already have instead of "painting" will give instant age, but you will need someone who knows how to create make-up affects that appear like you are not wearing it. Things of that nature can help you appear older.
Hair style can help with that. To work on a face is it important to have your haircut to make such a face look older? Not older but oval. For some reason we have decided that the oval face is the most beautiful and mature. Well?? I don't know, but that is what hairstylists are supposed to look for when they suggest a hairstyle, unless you suggest otherwise... or they don't care. Most hairstylists will suggest shorter hair convincing you that what ever you come in with (long hair)... you hair length must be shorter... because if you believe what they say, then, you will be coming back and spending money for those trims and incidental cuts... for that is their profession! Yet if you suggest such a cut to make an oval face, the oval face can be created without chopping everything up. It's all about taking the "baby" face and "hiding" it with a specific cut. OK. It's all about fringes ( bangs and what they do when you wear them.) Let's just say you have long hair... and straight... which is in style now... but it is parted in the middle and the long fringes fall back beyond your temples and mix with your other hair... leaving the face completely open... so, a round face with cheeks that stand out as "babyish" stand out? Then, the stylist would work on the fringes, cut them to "hide" those areas... thus the hair would fall in such away to come over the eyes, slightly hiding them... blend in with the cheeks, slightly hiding those cheeks as those fringes meld into the rest of your hair... giving the illusion of a more oval face. What is happening is this. When someone looks at the style, they are drawn to the fringes instead of the "baby" face... creating attention away from those areas and making people see, or focus on the "fall" of your fringes, away from the actual shape of your face. Thus, the oval face... or the illusion of it predominates you. Their is no perfect face. Models are created by stylists to make a face appear more oval. Thus they appear more beautiful... especially in close up... like make-up and hair commercials and magazine advertisements. What you see is artistry, the idea of taking something that a girl already has and improving it... so it can sell a product. And, these women govern what you believe is attractiveness! I would recommend looking under a search engine. Put in Hair styles + face shapes. Look until you find a site that shows different face shapes and ideas of how they are cut to make an oval shape. Look for something that is close to you face shape. You should be able to find ideas of how fringes can actually create the oval shape. Then with that, show them what you are talking about and how you want the fringes to create that oval shape... if the stylist is good, that person should be able to create that fringe cut to your satisfaction. But, remember... do not let them talk you into something you don't want... like a short haircut that appears monsterous to you...keep what you have... don't let them fool you like that... just the important cut. You can always wear your hair up... even with those fringes...
