    just make eye contact and lower your voice a little bit. Throw in the word 'so' as well.
    I am 'so' sorry.

    "I am so so sorry"..should the "So" be the key word here...like should I say "so" in a high voice. I am so sorry...do you believe me : O

    Not necessarily a 'high' voice... but emphasized.... softer, maybe a little lower and drawn out a bit. Leave off the 'do you believe me'... the less words make it more powerful.
