Criticism is advice; advice is worth what you pay for it. The strongest people have always been those who listen to their critics and then grow from that experience, not those who ignored the criticism and plowed ahead, nor those who got their feelings hurt.

With a grain of salt people are entitled to their opinions I just take what I can use and throw the rest away

1. Take suggestions irrespective of who suggests them.
2. Don’t take it personal...at least try not to; criticism is not always about you.
3. Don’t reply immediately to criticism...better to think things through and look at the source with various perspectives.

What kind of criticism?

If it's constructive criticism, listen, consider what has been said and decide whether or not you agree.

If it's criticism for the hell of it, screw them.

I used to struggle with criticism. Then I realsed a couple of things: most of us are our own worst critic (ie - you KNOW when you've done something well or not), and I also realised that by getting defensive, you lose an opportunity to hear what other people think of you.

I deal with it now by stepping back. If I'm really upset, like a friend recently said, I let it just 'sit' with me for awhile, maybe a day, until I'm can see it more clearly. Then I assess the criticism with my own good judgement... and y'know what? You can learn so much, even from people you dont necessarily like so very much, if you just listen to them with honesty. You can learn about them, and you can learn about you. Good luck.

Criticism is only someone's opinion not the gospel. Just because people dish it out does not mean it is true to you or anyone else. Don't let it bother you if you don't agree with it.

i stick my fingers in my ears and say lalalalalalalalala

just kidding it depends on who it's coming from and what it's about. if it's kind and constructive coming from a friend, family or colleague i can listen and mull it over. but if it's coming from someone who is just being a jerk i give it back like i get it.

Worry about it if you feel your critic is right..Smile if you think he has got it completely wrong and prove to him with your actions why he was wrong!
