How would I talk to the dead?

A few months ago I lost one of my friends to suicide. I didn't really know her that well but from the moment I met her I knew she would be an awesome person to know. Then she commited suicide about a month or two after I met her...took everyone by surprise...a few of my friends who knew her have been able to "communicate" with her so yah, why can't I? How might I be able to do this? I just want to hear her voice again...
