How would you feel if a high school boyfriend told you he still loved you?

I went back out with my high school sweetheart after 25 years and it was a disaster. Only lasted 2 years. Then we tried again 3-4 years later and that was even worse.

Now I know why she was an ex.

The word "love" is used to describe rather a broad range of feelings and activities. That said, your "friend" seems to be pushing the envelope into areas frequently falling under the heading of "hate". -- Perhaps he heard the expression, "You always hurt the one you love" and took it to be a directive meant to be taken literally.

Given this guy's track record, I would smile, tell him I was flattered, pat him on the head and send him on his way. Life is too short to become re-involved with people who are much better left in the past.

Sounds like this guy doesn't know what love is...unless he has had a tremendous "wake-up" call he will do you the same way he did in High School.

Be contented with ur boyfriend. D0nt mind ur X, if he did dumped u b4 and itz twice it means he can do it again. Dont let that happen. And in additi0n,u felt the pain already u want to fill that again.Juzt be with ur present boyfriend-take care

I am still friends with my high school boyfriend (and his wife) I'd feel flattered if he told me he still loved me, but Even if we were both single, I'd know it wouldn't go anywhere... To me, he's like a brother after all these years (26).

He finally grew up....and learned to think with the head on his shoulders....and not behind the zipper.....hehehehe

Aftrer I married my second husband... My old BF looked me up....and asked why I married him....(my husband)... I was 6 months preg...so the answer was out there.... Then he told me that he had said once that if it did not work out with husband #1....that he would take me back.....

And I responded with what he told me once..... That he could not love me... .For we were just buddies.....

With all that we had sone together to have him tell me that when I was head over heals for him in high school... Well it killed it right there

Terrifies. He might be a stalker or an obsessive paranoid... I mean, High School was 20 years ago!!!

How would I feel? Not sure, but I would most probably laugh hysterically in his face, though. Don't think that would go over too well...

Happened to me about every ten years...he keeps checking to see if I am single. I learned his wife of many years is huge. He is unhappy.

I moved on. I do not answer the phone calls, the emails or any connection to him. He had his chance, he cheated.
Dont like cheaters.
