As a patient I would refuse. If they insisted I would leave. If I was prevented from leaving I would make them sorry they didn't.
I have a woman doctor and she gave me a prostate exam, and trust me, it was not as sensual as it sounds.
I,d be to afraid they,d lose it lol.
if it was a glass thermometer, i'd worry about getting a mercury enema
Hemorrhoids like a coffee mill? You're one tough customer
clenched and afraid
refuse, check my age again
Forgettable about it !
I would tell them to go to hell.
I'm going to a different doctor....it's the modern era after ...they must be in the dark ages to still use that
Are you kidding? I still have nightmares about my last prostate exam, lol
If there is a sound reason why other methods will not work and an accurate reading is important then medically it has it's merits. Mercury is not used today and the time involved is much less than years ago. If there is not a specific reason then leave but if there is then comply. There is a reason why rectal thermometers are still in offices and ER's.
