It's one of the easiest ways to die and for that reason, hiking in the wilderness in extreme winter conditions can be deadly as exposure to severe cold can literally lull you to death. <br />

Fire? That's pure torture. Drowning? It's too frightening.

I know you said pick one but all I can think is that one leads to another and again. Like, you are lost in winter, freezing and someone finds you and tries to warm you up, accidentally sets you on fire, then drowns you in an effort to put you out. Seems like a pretty bad death to me.

Although I've had nightmares of drowning, I think that sounds like the least excuciating way to die. I choose drowning. :)
