How would you react if a male friend begun turning into a woman because of an illness ?

It may seem like a strange question but i was the guy and i was diagnosed with a severe hormone disorder. I lost everything because of it including friends and family. It still hurts now how people reacted when they knew what i was going through. I have trouble trusting anyone now and im lonely because of it, i just want to know i guess that not everyone would view me or someone who has gone through this the same as my so called friends did, i just want to know there are still decent people in this world that dont judge people. Please be honest ?

I would be an even better friend to that person. I would be supportive and caring, especially after knowing what you went through. I'd want them to know I'm always there for them to lean on.

It would not make a difference to me. We are who we are. I know many people that would love to meet you, because that is their thing. You just need to find the right friends. Be well. :D

I've never known anyone who had to go through anything like that, but I'd certainly hope that I wouldn't ever start acting or reacting any differently toward that person other than just being as supportive as possible in any way that person wanted or needed. A friend is a friend, period, regardless of that person's gender or fluctuations in gender characteristics. At least that's how it should be. That it isn't for some people is disappointing and disheartening, to say the least.

I don't understand how a man can turn into a woman because of illness. That seems absolutely absurd to me. Explain?

Pardon my asking, but does that mean you are sexually attracted to men instead of women? I didn't realize people who identify themselves as transgender would attribute this to illness.

I would accept them for who they are. Even if they started the change by their own hands I would still accept them as my friend. We all still live in a world that we are always have to met the norms of other people. I myself wish I could change into a woman but I know I will loose everything I have worked for up until now. I know my friends wouldn't turn and run as my best friend knows of how I feel and has know for years. I wish people wouldn't be so judgmental these day but thats not the case. If you need a friend don't be afraid to reach out to me if you want to.

I wouldn't date him, but I don't see any reason not to hang out with him anymore.

Look at it this way it double your chance for dating partners. Never let others determine your state of mind, that's something only you control.
