hate them with a passion! i can't even look at pictures of them or look at comercials with spiders. if i can't find the remote fast enough to turn the channel, i close my eyes until i can. i think my fear of them stems from my brother teasing me with fake ones when i was a kid.

I used to fear them, but now I just have a distaste for them. I overcame the fear by realizing I'm bigger than them, and then smashing them on sight.

They don't bother me...Live and let live!
I let them be in the house most of the time. If somebody sees one and freaks, I just scoop up the spider and put her outside..No harm done!

I WAS bitten by a wolf spider once and my friend killed that one simply because I had to go to the ER. They had to know what bit me.

I'm cool with them as long as they stay outside. If they get in the house I try to remove them as humanely as possible.

I love them. They eat the insect vermin that invade my four walls. They also spin nice webs that trap the dust in the air.

One late night I was wasting time on the internet. Out of the corner of my eye I saw movement. It was a tiny spider, about the size of a fruit fly. Looking closer I saw a lot of them, hundreds, maybe thousands. It was so cool, almost like an alien spaceship landed and was sending out explorers. They had little web strings going everywhere, like bridges and highways.

I watched them for a while then went back to filling my mind with internet wisdom. I kind of expected to see an infestation of spiders but never saw more than the normal amount.

Another time a spider built a web on the outside of the bedroom window. We would watch and wait for an unsuspecting fly or moth to be trapped. One night I was watching it sit in the center of the web, raise itself, and excrete some whitish fluid from the anal area. I consider myself fortunate to have seen a spider in the wild pee or poop.

My profile picture area has a couple spider pictures.

We had the coolest huge spider living in a giant web on a big window. Since it was outside, it was live and let live, and watch it catch its prey, and marvel at its beauty. If it was inside, it would have been a different story and I'm sure screaming and helpless hopping about would have been involved.

I am very scared of spiders. I get goosebumps when I see them, and I am so scared that it's difficult to even bring myself to kill one. One time though, I was pretty much forced to because no one else was there to get it for me - it was on the wall and I threw a book at it to squish it.

They are truly fascinating creatures. They demonstrate an incredible amount of intelligence for a creature with such a small brain. It makes you wonder...

I am fascinated by spiders and other animals - I look upon them as kin, really, as "All Life is One!" I don't kill anything unless really necessary.

The big Hunting Spiders that can move so swiftly and jump 15 to 20 centimetres I am a bit respectful of; but it made me very sad to have to kill one once because my wife was scared by one and was insisting I did so. I told her that the spider was probably even more scared of her, but it didn't "cut" it with her... Some arachnids can give a dangerous bite, of course; if I find one inside I will capture it and put it outside well away from the house.
Their eyes, and the number of them, are amazing.

I get so squemish around spiders even if they're the size of my thumb. I get really scared of them when they are the size of tarantulas. My husband tells me that they're just puffs of air but I am really scared as though they'll kill me or something. I know it's crazy but I can't help but jump up, scream, and act a pure fool until they are out of my sight. I agree with Jerrica, I can't even look at pictures or watch them on TV.

Spiders are not my favorite little creature. However, my husband has no problem with them living in our home. Peedeedog likes to use them as "chew toys", if you get my drift.

I have written an experience with a spider what I had. If you have time...Take a moment to read my story about the "peeping tom" in my bathroom.

RIP Tom...The Peeping Tom Spider. :-)

Arachnids, I find them interesting and a lot of them are beautiful as well. I have some beautifule ones posed in my pics here . The Cobalt tarantulas are stunning if you would care to take a look. They cann get big as a dinner plate and there are no recorded deaths from any of these big ones. great pest removal up to and including snakes. If you go to youtube and search snake vs spider you will be stunned to see a huge highly poisionas snake easily subdued by a tarantula.
Not for everyone I know. But they really don't go out of their way to cause us harm.

I don't mind them at all!! Matter of fact I have a beautiful tarantula named Elvira as a pet and she's about 5 years old now. I would love to add to my spider pet population in the future! I think they get a bad rap! They are so easy to take care of and so amazing to watch!
