Because with your third pregnancy it is perfectly normal to already be dilated like this before full term...you wait because it is not time to deliver yet....being dilated does not indicate labour...only that your body has done all this before. Unless you are experiencing labout pains it is all okay :)

Because your baby is likely to be more healthy the longer you wait. I just checked with my wife and my mother who is over here at the moment. Both agree that 2 cm dilated means nothing. If your waters break, go straight to hospital...no hesitating

If you're going into labor, why are you on the computer?

Realistically, you could be a few weeks at 2 1/2 centimeters, I've known some women who've experienced that. If you are having labor pains I would go to the hospital, if not I would just listen to your doctor.

your baby's lungs are still developing. they develop until the 38th week at least. there are higher risks of asthma and such until after at the very least 36 weeks.

As a mother of two the only reason i can give is that your baby has a better chance if you could hang on another week or two.

By 35 weeks you surely want this baby out. But as others have stated, you're body might not be ready yet. Nor the baby. Be patient. Enjoy your last moments without an infant. I know it's hard. Pregnancy is frustrating. It'll be over before you know it. :)

It is less stressful on you and the child to go into delivery naturally. The baby is safer inside for as long as possible. The day will come soon.....

If you water hasn't broken yet, then you are fine. It's when your water breaks that you shouldn't be waiting it out. Good luck with the 3rd. It's a whole different stress then caring for 2.
