take your normal weekly budget. Cross off everything except for rent, utilities and fuel. Buy all your produce from growers markets. Ride your bike when ever possible or walk or carpool. Have your pay go into a savings account and transfer needed money to an access account. Keep to a controlled budget. Oh, and brew your own beer!

My answer follows many of the answers already given. Find a job that pays enough to cover your bills with a little extra for savings. Live below your means, invest $100-$200 in good stocks. If interested, I will tell you some of the dividend paying stocks I am investing in. Do not try to get rich fast, odds are you will lose. Over 80% of start up business's fail. If you are going to go that route, have lots of successful mentors to help you down the road. Be happy and optimistic, everything is a learning experience. Realistic Positive thinking is a powerful tool.
