Even the angels are jealous of our free will.

who can measure all that we are given?? consequence is so oderly and we can learn from choices made. if you plant an apple seed you get apples. if you live a life of love you grow love exponentially! living a life of hate produces hate....free will makes us so very responsible for so much in our life! ouch!

Without free choice we would not have the option of going to him. Finding "him" and loving him.

We don't have free will. If you're a Christian you don't even believe that we are capable of making moral choices because we're fallen.

The two go hand in hand, and Yes, without saying that "God" exists, free will and consequences are both our freedom and our lifeline.

You are right.
With free will, we thankfully have science, art, civilization...,
otherwise we are captive to nature like all other creatures.
And also we will have wonders after wonders beyond
all understanding and imagination. Sometimes, we are
threatened with the danger of excesses, and again our
free will successfully remedy the conditions. It is really
regretful for them who think that they don't need the
divine guidance of God.

To me that's a very odd question, good for a very long conversation.
It strikes me that the idea of "freedom," when the alternative of disobedience is death, mortality and the stain of original sin on every newborn is self contradictory.
In real life there is no freedom possible without consequences, but this is not mystical; just The Law of Cause and Effect. It is from this law combined with natural compassion and altruism that we choose to act and speak as much as possible in ways that do not cause harm or suffering to others or ourselves.
This means we can really only freely choose within a fairly limited spectrum of possibilities on work, interests, friends, partners, lifestyle etc. We cannot freely dump our anger on others, nor make love as often and freely as we might like. If we use the self discipline of a healthy lifestyle we end up with a very much greater probability of a long and productive life... but is the choice really free when we know full well the consequences of imprudence?

A great gift, and a terrible burden also I'd say.
I think our free-will is what causes so much of the suffering in this world - but on the other hand it's a blessing that we have that choice.
Our consequences are chosen by our actions. We have to take responsibility for that. And I guess that's the hard part. But you can't have your cake and eat it too ;)
He is like any good parent - he gives us teachings to make good decisions, but lets us ultimately choose whether or not to follow them.
And I guess the difficult part is that someone else's bad choices can affect us too, which to some may not seem fair.
But life isn't fair. Us having freedom to do with as we please is not fair. but it is how it is. and we need to learn how to work within that fact.

if he exists, it was the worst thing he could have given us.

It's crazy that we made it here alive...a spinning ball in the middle of space.
