I am shy, don't do bars, & work 2nd shift. Aside from the internet & church (tried both) how can I meet men?

unless youre up for blind dates with people your friends know you're not gonna meet anybody... sorry... you have to be open to meeting people anywhere (grocery store, bar, church, where ever)

Okat church no, work don't do it never mix business and pleasure, you gotta kind of just wait for it to happen, thats how my wife and I of 5 years got together, just out of the blue.

at work also by becoming involved in activities in your community. volunteer to be on a commitee and such. also join groups that have alot of men in them. i once went to a ham radio group meeting and was about the only female there.

Find something you're passionate about and join a club. Might actually meet someone with similar interests.

Sounds like your ready for the third tier. Bowling alleys, sports arenas, book stores, and men are approachable in a grocery store more so than women.

How about you try volunteering, it may well tie in well with your working life, and get you in contact with people who care and actually do something tangible and positive in the community.
Having to do say ,First Aid or working in a charity shop, might boost your confidence and lessen your shyness (but don't lose it!, it is an admirable quality, and facet of you, there are too many brash and forthright, opinionated people, who stand on soapboxes, or cling to pulpits)
The curious thing about this life is that when you most need something or someone, or want to feel that need, there are so many opportunities, you just need to cast your net and you will be fulfilled. the tricky part, is to nurture the tiddlers, till they become big fish for you, and to have the wisdom to not get a rotten one.
So surrounding yourself with good people is an excellent start.

Take some adult education classes, shopping malls, grocery stores. You may have to take the first step but a convenient ice breaker is asking for directions and build the conversation from there. You'll know if the guy seems interested.

I would say clubs and mutual friends. Volunteering also works. That way you start out with both of you sharing at least one common interest.

grocery stores are good, if that's something in common it means that both of are hungry.
