Find a job of course. I needed to relearn to speak when I came out of my coma at the VA hospital with a paralyzed vocal chord. It took my pathologist months to get me talking again. You might apply there, it is a government job

Get your master's degree. It will be worth it.Do what ever it takes to get your GPA up to get in to grad school..ask a teacher what u can do or if u can take a class over or additional ones to raise the GPA.Try Illinois State University they have a good program.Just a thought. Also look into audiology it is really in demand for jobs, cross over perhaps. You sound like a great student.Be persistent.

i am afraid my GPA wont be good enough to get accepted in a strong program, their minimum accepted GPA is 3.0 but most schools are very competitive most students who apply have a GPA of 3,6 and higher. so i really dont know what to do, and o dont want to be less competent than every one else i rather excel in what i do, but i really like the major.. UGH i am so confused,

Look at career opportunities in your field NOW. Start contacting potential employers NOW. If you find lots of opportunities in your field, you are in luck. If not, work with your college placement center, or whatever it is called, to consider your options. You may want to add on a minor or some classes that will make you more attractive to prospective employers. The suggestion about working for the VA is an interesting one. I agree with PinksWoman who suggested it. The salary will not be stellar, but the job satisfaction might be good. Can you help people get past stuttering or stammering? The Actor Hal Holbrook had a problem with that as a child. His first grade teacher [my great aunt] worked with him to overcome it.

my professor worked at VA center she always shares her stories with us, she seems to have liked her job a lot and it gave her a lot of experience, my level of training does not permit me to do so yet, i need a MA at least, according to the american speech language hearing society, thats pretty amazing about your aunt and Hal Holbrook..

My great aunt was an amazing lady. She taught first grade in the Cleveland, Ohio area for her entire adult life. She even helped me with stuttering, as well as an uncle.

Most jobs are going to be school districts or VA.

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation. The "what is next" portion of your question is something only you can answer. Seek the advice of your academic advisor and your professors to help you come up with the answer to your question.
Also seek the assistance of your university's student support center for assistance in putting together an effective resume. Good luck.

If I were you I would go for a master's right away.

I just have a BA and that's fine but if I were going to do a master's or PhD I would have done it immediately. Too hard getting back into the school track once you're out.

i dont know my advisor really bummed me out, probably unintentionally wanting to further encourage me, she told me all good graduate schools are very competitive and most students who get accepted have a GPA of 3,6 and higher
