    I dont think you can ever get to much cardio as long as your up for it i say go for it. ; )

    If you are asking should your bf be doing running exercises, then yes, he should.

    Like someone already said he should get enough rest not to get overfatigued. And if he takes too big of a chunk at once it is more likely that he will quit the program early. I would suggest adding running later on if he feels that he can do it without trouble.

    The program does break your muscles down, so by adding the running it will also put wear and tear on them (even if done on alternating days). Ideally, if you had a rest day in between to heal, you will actually see better results. If your muscles have a chance to heal (rebuild and repair), they look more toned. Over fatigued muscles can take longer to tone sadly, because they don't get the proper healing time. Also, have you heard of L-carnitine? It's excellent prior to working out!
