I don't want to get better.

How can I stop doing it?

Contradiction, much?

Best Answer

Yes, I don't want to get better but I have to, okay? Don't judge me dude hah.

Best Answer

..I find that "don't judge me" is often used by those who know something is wrong but continue to do it anyway due to denial.

Best Answer

Well, that's how you think so that's okay.

You do need to stop.
However, you also must put 'need' and 'want' together, in order to succeed.
Cutting is never a permanent solution but it can quickly become addictive, hence you needing but not wanting to stop.

I've no idea about the underlying causes that lead you to see this as a escape or the lifestyle you lead, but there are a number of methods you might try to cope with the feelings that make you want to cut.
The importance of physical activity cannot be underestimated, as it releases the very endorphins you probably seek out when you cut; as well as that, it can boost self-esteem (if that's an issue with you at all) and make you sleep better at night (again), the time when usually those creepy feelings come up for most.

If depression is one of your reasons, a look at your diet is essential, as these two very often go together, food being the fuel of your body and mind. You might have a diet-ba<x>sed chemical imbalance affecting your moods and general outlook on life, for instance.

It's also important to understand -judgement-free- what goes on in you when you do it, and why. I have a very good pdf book called Helping Teens Who Cut Understanding and Ending Self Injury which has given me an insight as to the whys and how, and it's helpful for people not to feel that they are weird, alone and hopeless. I'd be happy to send it to you via email, if you so wish.
Good luck.

You have to just set your mind that you can't cut. Like if you cut you'll kill someone you love. I know it's harsh but it's the only way you will quit for good.

As someone who used to cut and occasionally still does, the only way to stop it is to keep yourself away from knives and sharp pains and not feel any profound amounts of grief, or have any drastic mood swings.

Best Answer

Mmm... If I cut myself until I become bored of it... I can die, I mean, every time I do it deeper... But anyways, thanks.
