I do not like that not calling people by their names thing. What is it with that?

Sorry I mean in Real life not oin ep - when people do not ever use a person's name such as hello John, how are you John, bye John. Just no name ever. I hate it! Is a cruel contrivance to dehumanize a person. Not for no reason did Nazi Concentration Camps give people numbers!

Do you mean like nicknames?

Or when people avoid using there name.....if that yes that irritates me...Perhaps a form of belittleing someone.

It shows a bit of laziness, in my opinion. Strangely enough I like hearing them in exasperated tone. LOL. But I like nicknames though. It's special. Rated: +1Vote for this!

jules76	Posted Oct 9th, 2009 at 11:27AM I'm not sure you can fairly compare the Nazi's assigning numbers to prisoners to someone's innocent laziness. But if it bothers you, then tell the people you talk with often about your pet peeve so they will know. For the people very close to my family, we often don't call the person by their name out of familiarity. It would seem weird saying "Hello, John" to someone who has been in my life for decades.
