No, your just looking for someone to take care of and is "interesting." Find someone normal, in the long run it's worth it.

It's normal if you have mental health problems yourself.
I too am only attracted to women with mental health problems. It was never deliberate, but always worked out that way. I think that its not just being comfortable with someone, but, for me at least, its about being able to relate to someone, and her being able to relate to me. Nutty, huh?

Sounds like you might be co-dependent.

one possibility: it is a self worth thing, something you are comfortable with, for you fear that you are not worthy of the type of girl you truly desire most. though i hope that is not the case for you, as i spent half a lifetime walking just such a relationship path. it doesn't end well.

You're attracted to women that are nuts. Is there any other kind of woman?

Best Answer

If you mean normal as in common, I'd say no.

Not being a mental health professional, I can only speculate as to why you look for that type of woman. My hypothesis is that you're insecure with women. You consider the women who have mental health issues to be easy. This may soon backfire because you might find yourself on the wrong end of a gun or big knife.

It might also be that you're a "mister fix-it" kind of guy and you seek them with the intention of helping them get through their issues. If that's the case, you had better get a college degree and become a professional. Not knowing what you're doing may cause them more harm then good.

Or it might just be your luck. At your age, you seek women by appearance only. Once you find out that she's not operating on all cylinders, you can't seem to let her go. As you grow older, you'll learn not to think so much with your other head.

I've been on dates with women who had mental health issues. In each case, I found out during the first date and stopped dating them after that. I didn't look specifically for women who had that problem. I don't need to because I'm confident around women.

Who's normal anyway? Maybe it's the scene that you find yourself in that appeals to troubled women. Try a different place to meet women. You could always just embrace the quirky and go with it.
