I don't stop riding motorcycles and flying light airplanes I'm afraid I'll die in an accident.
I'm 61 and work as a computer programmer. As part of getting older you gain a real sense of your own mortality. And flying and riding are pretty high on the list of dangerous pastimes. And flying has the bonus of being a very expensive hobby. I often think I should give up both pastimes. The problem is that if I stop flying and riding I'll just be a computer programer living a boring life, like some kind of protoplasmic blob. If I walk away from these hobbies I'd probably feel bad everytime I saw a motorcycle on the road or a light airplane in the sky. I really think I might die of boredom. What to do?
