I don't want to go to fathers day dinner..?

i am only going tonight because my whole family will be there and i will catch up with my brothers and sisters. and i don't want them to make a fuss if i didn't show. my father and I have never had a connection and to be honest don't like my dad very much. its all a big charade. what are your thoughts on this

I adore my father but with my mother I had to wait to be an adult to understand her motivations concerning my siblings and me.
