diabetes doesn't just "go away" and bypass surgery... unless you're talking about gastric bypass... won't help with diabetes at all, type 2 diabetes can be helped with gastric bypass because most people who have type 2 are overweight, and their bodies can't produce enough insulin with the extra weight so, best thing to do is eat a healthy diet, and exercise regularly, and continue to follow proper procedure for taking care of your diabetes, if it is going to clear itself up you will eventually see more consistent glucose levels. keep in mind that there is no cure for diabetes in general, but if your particular case is going to mend itself as you hope it will take a bit more time than you apparently thought to begin with
Why would you think diabetes will go away after heart surgery? The trick is to keep your blood sugar in the normal rage and take care of yourself. I say this without knowing what your surgeon told you or what your true condition is.
There is no cure or type one or type 2 sorry to tell you it's a life long obstacle that you will have to live with eat healthy live Healy is the best way to deal with it all the best to you hope eveything work out well
My husband has type 1 diabetes and is a normal weight. Assuming he was obese and underwent this surgery and lost 100 pounds his diabetes would still not go away because there is no cure for type 1 diabetes.
