I'd have to say it's pretty true, at least for my partner and I. He's very lame and always coming up with father-type puns that are just sometimes awful, so bad you have to laugh at it. I'm a bit the same, but have a whole bunch of joke books (of the taste he does not like, he found one good joke so far in one book, haha), so I guess it just depends on who you ask. I'm sure you'll get a different answer each time regardless. :)
