Englist language is not a perfect science, we all don't have shape memory, fat fingering is also a reason. Also it's not important to everybody.

    I have noticed people leave basic typos alone but only nitpick when you completely change the spelling of the entire English language.

    I don't disagree, People should at least be able to conceptualize what it is that you are trying to say. Thought a lot of people won't bother to read your brilliant concepts if they can't understand or follow what it is that your saying. We do loose a great part of our audience, with our bad grammar and bad spelling. I know if something is illegible, it's frustrating to figure out what someone was saying. And yes, people who have to correct, like they were your parents or teachers need to just get a life, (actually I think it is their insecurity that makes them correct you) there is more to trying to understand what you are saying the condemning you on the way you say it. There is wrong on both sides of this coin.
