I'm assuming you are asking because you don't have an open relationship with your boyfriend. Based on that assumption I'm going to say that yes it is wrong.

Not to sound too blunt or harsh here, but basically you're being selfish. Because your boyfriend's libido doesn't match your own, you've decided to cheat on him to satisfy your own needs. If he had a matching libido you wouldn't have cheated. And if the roles were reversed (and you are being honest with yourself) I don't think you would approve of him taking a lover to get off with.

Perhaps you shouldn't have a boyfriend until you're able to see the relationship beyond yourself.

is it wrong that you cheated?

is that what you are asking?
if so, yes. You could have at least had the decency to break it off before hand.

Was it an open relationship thing? If your boyfriend is okay with it, then everything is fine. But cheating really hurts people.

That's between you and your boyfriend.

However, if you didn't discuss it with him first, it will be VERY difficult to bring it up now, after you've already "taken a lover." He will very likely feel rejected and deceived.

Communication is the oxygen of a good relationship. Don't hold your breath so long next time...

Um, didn't you already take a lover before you took a second one?

Yes, if you did it without his knowledge and/or permission...of course it is. This advice comes from a former "other lover", by the way.

You deserve to be cheated on and dumped by him. Maybe he loved you. Despicable to cheat on him, you should be ashamed of yourself!

Funny how the big guilt trips are coming from guys here - yeah; like you would not be tempted, right??

If you are in a relationship which does not work, then end it. Life with more than one lover is complicated, but who is to say that it is wrong in some cases to spend time with and love more than one? IF both relationships are casual and you are still learning how to conduct your life.

If you have kids and responsibilities with the guy with no libido - then you have a problem. You owe him far more.
