Because prayer's only benefit is prayer's effect on you, the only person who hears your prayer. And you are just too tired. Get a good night's sleep, that's usually where you need to start.

No energy to pray?
that's a new one on me-
...might I suggest that you may be fed up with "prayer" & already knowing what the outcome of those prayers will be- so you are actually just not willing to pray at all & revert to (having no energy) as a "sounds reasonable to me" type closure to avoid prayers that you feel will fail you anyway- so (why bother to pray).

One does not need energy to pray- just (deliberate intention) or "deliberate thought" to what you want manifested into your life....:)

I don't know but perhaps subconsciously you have realized that prayer is a waste of time that no one is there to hear it.

Sometimes it seems pointless.

That is why we must pray for energy. Prayer is not for getting something miraculously, but for meditating to realize that we were already given.
Why I have no energy to pray? Because I do not know what is energy in me, how it comes, how it goes, how to get more, how to keep it ready for all my activities. Answers to such questions are not sufficient. Right answers are only vain knowledge. I must practice with patience, effort, and regularity to become a positive habit. This is the way for everything in our life: Learning, PRACTICING and FORMING POSITIVE HABIT. Otherwise, we already died before our physical death.

Talking to someone over and over again without listening for a response is tiresome. Sometimes we make the mistake of thinking that prayer is like ordering a pizza--we call, make the request, and hang up. Prayer is 2 way communication. Certainly we are to thank our Father in Heaven for what He has given us, and ask Him for help in the things that we and others need--but one key part of prayer that is often forgotten is to ask questions and receive answers. I know this is not easy and I don't claim to have it down to a science. But I do know that when we pray sincerely we are communicating with a Being of tremendous intelligence. He can answer our questions if we have the faith and patience to ask and pay attention for an answer.

I imagine God sometimes thinks, "theres' so much I'd like to tell them if they would just listen." Next time you pray, try doing the following: Think about what you are going to say/ask first. As you pray, think about who you are talking to and be sincere. Take time to stop talking and pay attention to how God makes you feel. He can and will bring thoughts to your mind or help you find a better solution to your problems, if you will stop and ponder in a quiet place as you talk to Him. You probably won't hear a voice or see a vision (although this could happen), but you will most likely receive clear impressions from God through His messenger, the Holy Ghost.

How do you know if it is God who is answering you? Practice helps a lot. So does knowing that God is all about building up--doubt and fear come from the devil, not from God.

If there is a God, he/she/ist would already know your wants and needs.
