Could your family help even if they did know how you're feeling? Can't you focus on something you'd really like to do or see and work towards that to occupy your mind? If you start telling people stuff, it can sometimes compound it.

You can't "kill" the blues dummy. Say what is really going on and perhaps someone can help. If your family did understand you you'd be in big trouble as you'd be the only one on the planet. with that knowledge held by your family.
